Scam Reports Degen.com Active 43 views View on BitcoinTalk
Hello everyone,

I deposited 410 USDT and placed 13 sports bets on the Degen Casino Sportsbook.

- 10 bets won
- 3 bets lost

All bets were accepted normally without any restrictions or warnings. After the events finished, the bets were settled according to official results, and my balance increased to 923.98 USDT.

I submitted a withdrawal request for the full amount. The withdrawal is still pending, and I still have full access to my account.

Instead of processing it, I received this email from support:

"The reason why your account is locked is because of flagrantly and knowingly violation of the ToS of Degen and our Sportbook...
For this time, we will just be seizing your winnings and allowing you to have back your deposit on the site. We will starting to seize deposits as well if the behaviour continues."

Important notes:
- My account is NOT locked — I still have full access right now.
- The withdrawal request remains active in pending status.
- The casino gave zero specific evidence of any violation (no bet IDs, no markets, no proof of arbitrage, collusion, fixed matches, etc.).
- I did not use any bonuses, bots, multiple accounts, or prohibited activities.

I ask Degen Casino (@degencom https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3742927 to either:
1. Provide clear and specific evidence of which rule I violated and on which bets, or
2. Immediately process the full withdrawal of 923.98 USDT.

@degencom here’s a new case about your sportsbook. This time it’s on different sports from the last case being raised recently.

Seriously, if value betting is always the case then I suggest to change odds provider for having lots of weak line on different sports category.

@OP let’s wait on the representative reply.

Uhh... I'll suggest something better, rather than being OOT on their ANN and unnecessarily post just to raise their awareness.

OP, if you want to, you can escalate your case to ContestHunters by clicking on my signature, it will bring you directly to CH's dispute page, of which directly overwatched by me. I'll try to get Degen contact and reach them and initiate a dispute resolution for your case and the neighboring thread.

Update

One day after posting my complaint here, Degen Casino cancelled my pending withdrawal request and confiscated all of my Sportsbook winnings, leaving only my original 410USDT deposit.
Before the confiscation, my account balance was 926.31 USDT. Due to the withdrawal fee, I would have received 923.98 USDT (410 USDT deposit + 513.98 USDT winnings).

Despite this action, Degen Casino has still provided no evidence that I violated their Terms of Service. They have not identified:

The exact rule I allegedly violated; The specific bet IDs or events/matches in question;Any evidence supporting their claims of arbitrage, collusion, or other prohibited activity.

My account remains fully accessible. The only action taken after my withdrawal request was the confiscation of my winnings.

@degencom, could you please explain:

Which specific bets violated your rules?
What evidence supports your decision?
Why were all bets accepted and settled normally if you now claim they were invalid?

I will continue to update this thread as the case progresses.

Degen representative may come here with an explanation, but they won't share the sensitive evidence and information here publicly. They aren't going to share the evidence with you through the support system of the site. It will be better if you take this complaint to a mediator. Degen isn't available at most of the mediators yet. But you can submit a complaint at ContestHunters at this moment. Another forum member (holydarkness) has already suggested you to do that.

[...]

I will continue to update this thread as the case progresses.

Again, I'll encourage you to raise to ContestHunters [my signature will bring you directly to dispute page] and perhaps get it tried there, where evidences can be provided by both parties in private.

Since the Degen Casino representatives are completely ignoring my issue here on Bitcointalk, I have followed holydarkness's advice and submitted a formal dispute against the casino on ContestHunters.

Degen has replied on CH and give their own side of story and their piece of evidence. The case has now marked as resolved on CH as a verdict been made. However, as my commitment to get CH goes alongside with the forum, of which means CH need to be "more" than CG and AG in matter of transparency, at least in a way that I can be as transparent as I can withouth breaking confidentiality, in case anyone wonder whether or not the call is valid, kindly check OP's own evidence of his betslips,

Update on my Degen Casino dispute on ContestHunters(CH)

The dispute has been closed in favor of the casino. Unfortunately, the review was quite superficial.

Main issues:
The mediator suggested that Degen return my initial deposit as a "good gesture", even though I had already withdrawn the 410 USDT deposit before opening the dispute on CH. The actual disputed amount — my winnings of 513.98 USDT — was not properly addressed. My case is very similar to the recent Leparda's case (same Betby flags, same ToS clauses, withdrawn deposit). In that case, winnings were paid in good faith. Here, the decision was the opposite.

Proof that there was no arbitrage:
I cross-checked all my bets with OddsPortal and BetsAPI at the exact time they were placed. In every single case, Degen’s odds were at market level or worse:

1–2. 29.06 16:49–16:50 Rolland vs Morais [In-Play / Live] — Morais @ 4.60 (LOST)
Bwin odds at the time 4.20 – 4.75 (BetsAPI Proof | Bwin Odds Screenshot)

3–4. 30.06 14:01–14:02 Wiersholm vs Lokotkova [In-Play / Live] — Under 18.5 @ 1.82 & Under 19.5 @ 1.72 (WON)
(OddsPortal Proof | Note: I also placed Under 18.5 @ 1.833 on Pinnacle few min before placed bets on Degen) my bet on Pinnacle

5–6. 30.06 17:36 Cirpanli vs Roura Llaverias [In-Play / Live] — Roura -7.5 @ 1.62 & Under 16.5 @ 1.67 (WON)
Normal live line movement since Pre-Match odds were -6.5 @ 1.84 & Under 18.5 @ 1.67 (OddsPortal Proof | Pre-Match odds Screenshot)

7–10. 30.06 21:04 Israel U22 vs Portugal U22 [Pre-Match] — Israel -8.5 @ 1.65 & -10.5 @ 1.87 (WON)
1xBet offered -10.5 @ 1.92 before the match (BetsAPI Proof | 1xBet Odds Screenshot)

11–12. 01.07 22:00 Shi vs Matias [Pre-Match] — Under 14.5 @ 1.64 & Shi -9.5 @ 1.64 (WON)
FonBet offered 1.65 on both (BetsAPI Proof | FonBet Odds Screenshot)

13. 05.07 02:31 Pieri vs Larwig [Pre-Match] — Under 18.5 @ 1.62 (LOST)
Market range: 1.57 – 1.75 (OddsPortal Proof | Odds Screenshot)

Note: Full historical odds on BetsAPI are visible only to logged-in users.

Conclusion & Request:
All 13 bets were regular market bets with fair odds. There were no inflated lines, no arbitrage, and no ToS violations. Nevertheless, Degen confiscated my winnings based solely on an automated Betby flag without any specific evidence.

I ask Degen Casino to review this case again, taking into account the provided odds comparisons and the precedent from Leparda's case. I kindly request the payout of my legitimate winnings in the amount of 513.98 USDT.

I remain open to a constructive discussion here on Bitcointalk and hope Degen will act in good faith to resolve this fairly and protect their reputation in the community.

Degen Casino - Pattern of Selective Scamming on Sportsbook

After looking at recent disputes on ContestHunters and Bitcointalk, a clear pattern of selective handling emerges:

In MaxTher's case ($117 winnings) - Degen was advised to pay out despite a Betby flag. The mediator noted that "a provider flag is not explicit proof of a ToS violation".
In leparda's case ($352 winnings)  - winnings were also paid in good faith.
In my case (513.98 USDT winnings) — the exact same automated Betby flag was used to confiscate 100% of the profit.
I provided detailed historical odds from Bwin, Pinnacle, 1xBet, Fonbet, etc., proving all 13 of my bets were placed at normal market prices (often even worse than the market). No arbitrage, no line errors.

Yet the mediator on ContestHunters closed my dispute by suggesting Degen "return my deposit as a good gesture" - completely ignoring that I had already withdrawn my own deposit long before opening the case.

Conclusion:
Degen appears to practice selective scamming - paying out small amounts to maintain a clean public image, but confiscating larger winnings ($500+) using automated flags without providing any specific evidence.

Do not deposit on degen.com. This looks like selective scamming — they pay small amounts and keep the bigger ones.

I think all this "return the deposit as a good gesture" crap is not a good look TBH. Yea maybe the 1st time a case arose against a casino it was nice, but to just ask a casino to do that every single case looks fishy as fuck IMO. @holydarkness you trying to allow a casino to setup for a big score later? You either believe in your decision or you don't. Don't just agree with betby or the casino to try and make yourself look like you did something cause IMO it looks like you're just suggesting they refund a deposit and all is well. That's not the case.

I'm not taking sides in this particular case or at all really. I am just reading what this user wrote and have a little to say about potentially a lot. Take the evidence, if it clearly shows this user or any other user is abusing the system some way (have CLEAR proof), then don't give them a damn dime. If there is no clear proof, then give them their damn money.

If this is the pattern that CH is going to continuously use, then I would suggest everyone start playing somewhere where betby is not the odds provider.

While I am on a little rant, I seen somewhere icopress advises casinos not to respond on the forum to accusations but rather take them to an off forum mediator. Basically what CH is just less reputed currently. I don't really agree with that personally. Yes these mediators are great and are a way for the players to advocate for themselves and show their proof to get paid, but these casinos use this forum. They make money from this forum. Respect your players and give some sort of response to the people rather then take it off forum only IMO.

I am well aware of the number of scam accusations that are posted by scammers guys. I know that a small number of accusations are legitimate. I am not siding with the player or casino here, just giving an honest opinion of what I see and feel. That's why I say CLEAR proof. Have it or pay, simple. None of this in between bs and good gesture shit.

Let me ask you one question and it will be nice if you can answer with a thorough and in-depth "rant" whether it's a yes or a no:

Do you read my explanation on post #9 before you wrote all of those rant?

I guess the answer is "no". Because if you do, instead of jumping here from nowhere, you'll see I've explained there that the verdict on CH is siding with the casino, to not do any further reimbursement other than return of deposit that's already done because the betting history points to the biggest telltale of arbitrage betting. Were you thinking someone would have way too many spare time to fashioned all of their wager in such odd numbers instead of sign of arbing?

Unlike the two other cases where Betby's call is questionable for public, arbing is absolute. It is written in clear wording in ToS and is globally perceived as abuse.

You said that the rant [I assume] is made after you "just reading what this user wrote and have a little to say about potentially a lot." Well, do you read other's posts too? Because hey, maybe they have a little to say about potentially a lot too. Also, "Take the evidence, if it clearly shows this user or any other user is abusing the system some way (have CLEAR proof), then don't give them a damn dime." Ok, clearly you're not reading the verdict and shooting in the dark here.

As for your question whether I am "trying to allow a casino to setup for a big score later?", I'll publicly say it here that I take it personally and I am truly offended, thick face or whatnot. I don't selectively building casino's reputation, I simply act from what the evidences, the pieces of puzzles, show when they're arranged to complete full picture.

Whether I "try to set this casino for a big score later", I guess you can answer that yourself by asking to your own self too, do you bother to read post #9? If not, then why do you jump to above post and accusation? Which invites questions to my integrity and reputation, especially coming from someone whose perceived as rather prominent on the forum, without strong basis. Do you still think I've selectively supporting this casino after reading that?

Edit and p.s.: after re-reading your post more thoroughly, especially this part,

[...]
They make money from this forum. Respect your players and give some sort of response to the people rather then take it off forum only IMO.[...]

I think it's safe to assume you clearly don't read my post on #9 and just jumping here out of nowhere, lashing for baseless reason, because...

[...] However, as my commitment to get CH goes alongside with the forum, of which means CH need to be "more" than CG and AG in matter of transparency, at least in a way that I can be as transparent as I can withouth breaking confidentiality [...]

that part, if you bother to read, clearly shows that my intent is to be transparent and "integrate" an ADR to the forum, to get them side-by-side instead of two separate entities.

The biggest issue is that we still don't know the actual reason behind this confiscation of 514 USDT.

I agree with @yahoo62278 that if a casino voids player's winning then evidence should meet a very high standard. Simply refunding deposit isn't an act of generosity, it's just returning player's own money. If player broke rule then casino has every right to void his winning. But if evidence is weak then "we refunded the deposit, so we acted fairly" isn't convincing argument.

At the same time, holydarkness isn't being unreasonable either. Casino can't publicly disclose every detail of their arbitrage detection or provider data, since doing so could make those systems easier to exploit.

That's exactly why trusted mediator like contesthunter or holydarkness are so important. If you trust mediator's judgment then the dispute is much easier to resolve. But no one is obligated to accept someone else's judgment, and everyone has right to express different opinion. Personal attack, however, are never justified.

On the contrary, you don't have the right to complain if you agreed to the arbitration system. OP agreed to the arbitration of holydarkness on CH to now complain because the outcome wasn't what he wanted. Arbitration systems for resolving disputes are common, not just in casinos. What you can't do is agree to an arbitration system only if it rules in your favor.
Report to moderator
On the contrary, you don't have the right to complain if you agreed to the arbitration system...

Agreeing to an ADR process does not mean a player loses the right to publicly discuss the outcome, especially when similar cases under the same automated flags resulted in completely different decisions. Transparency, I believe, is standard practice on this forum.

...were you thinking someone would have way too many spare time to fashioned all of their wager in such odd numbers instead of sign of arbing?

@holydarkness, I respect the work you do.

However, those "odd numbers" were simply the result of hitting the "Max Bet" button. The system itself calculated those specific stake amounts based on its own limits (which often produce non-round figures due to currency conversion and max stake settings). That is system behavior, not proof of arbitrage.

Arbitrage requires a mathematical edge across different bookmakers that guarantees a profit. I provided detailed historical odds from Bwin, Pinnacle, 1xBet, and Fonbet showing that Degen’s odds were at market level or worse at the exact time of placement.

My point remains simple: if a player is accused of arbitrage, concrete proof of cross-bookie arbing should be presented - not just an automated provider flag and max-bet stake sizes.
