Warning: Betplay.io ignores confirmed self-exclusion for gambling addiction

I am opening this topic to warn other players about how Betplay.io handles responsible gambling and self-exclusion. If you think you are safe here when you declare a gambling problem, please think twice.

On June 20, 2026, I realized I needed to stop and contacted Betplay support to request a permanent account closure due to a severe gambling addiction. Support agent Hanna acknowledged the situation and explicitly stated: "we will immediately take action to close your account for your safety and well-being." She requested that I reply with "I confirm", which I did immediately.

However, Betplay completely failed to uphold their promise. My account was left active. Even worse, over the following weeks, they actively targeted me with marketing emails and cashback bonuses. As a self-declared addicted player, these promotional incentives triggered a severe relapse, resulting in substantial financial losses.

When I confronted support about this massive failure, they finally blocked the account but completely evaded any accountability for the weeks my account was left open. Cassandra from support told me the case was forwarded to the "Loyalty Team", but after multiple follow-ups, they have gone completely silent and are ignoring my emails.

I have kept all email receipts from this entire chain, showing the exact timestamps of my self-exclusion request, the marketing/cashback emails sent to me afterwards, and support admitting they failed to close it. I am ready to share these full logs with forum moderators or trusted members upon request.

Be very careful with this casino. They talk about "player safety" on paper, but their automated systems will still target you with bonuses after you explicitly tell them you are an addict.

I am posting this to hold them publicly accountable and to warn anyone who might look to Betplay for a safe environment.
