I want to share a serious issue I experienced on Stake.com, which completely stems from a technical infrastructure error on their side. Since their support team has been absolutely unhelpful, I am posting this here to raise awareness and warn everyone.
Yesterday (June 30, 2026), during the live match between France and Sweden, I suffered an unfair financial loss due to a technical system glitch. Here are the details of the incident:

🚨 Incident Summary & Technical Issue
During the live match, I attempted to place a bet of 652.17. While the coupon was processing, the system generated a "Bet Rejected" error.
Because the bet was rejected, the 652.17 stake was immediately credited back to my active account balance.
Since the platform explicitly stated that the wager failed and returned my funds, I closed the website, confident that no active bet was running.
After the match concluded, I logged back into my account only to discover that Stake.com had retroactively and automatically approved the previously rejected coupon without my consent or knowledge. Since the bet lost, my balance was wiped out.
⚠️ Grounds for Complaint
Lack of User Consent: The system officially told me "This bet was not placed" and refunded my money. It was impossible for me to monitor, manage, or cash out a bet that I was told did not exist.
Unfair Practice: Despite contacting Stake support, they refuse to acknowledge this blatant system lag and technical glitch. Reviving a rejected coupon after the match progression is completely unacceptable.
I have already submitted an official complaint to the Curacao Gaming Authority (CGC) demanding an investigation into their system logs for this Bet ID.

I used to trust this site, too. But after yesterday, I dont trust it anymore. I had big plans for when the leagues started. I was going to bet a lot of money. Now Ill never bet there again. They literally stole my money. Theyre making fun of me in the chat.

That's really sad to hear. It seems like a complete system glitch. What I do is that after placing a live bet on any platform, if there is an error, I always take a screenshot of it. And immediately check my active bets tab. Don't assume that a bet is rejected, it means it's completely cancelled.
Have you tried appealing to their higher support team with a screenshot, Bet ID and timestamp? Glitches can happen, but honesty and transparency from the bookies are important. I can't believe that Stake support could be unhelpful and could ban you for this reason. You could share the chat history if you have already talked with the support team.

Ive been betting for 20 years. Im no amateur. Stake.com has literally stolen my money, and the representative in the chat, called Lazar, isnt replying to me. Hes literally making a mockery of me. Ive also started a thread on the StakeCommunity forum. If anyone has an account there, please show your support there too.

If you asked me I must say that this is unfair behavior because when the site do not approved the bet, it is assumed that your balance was intact and you do not need anything to care about your balance anymore, but to no reason after the match concluded and you decide to long in to stake.com and you observed your balance was drained up?

Thanks for your comments, everyone. Ive been betting for 20 years, so Im no novice. I know this industry inside out. Its not a huge sum of money, but the way theyve handled it is very disrespectful. I had plans to bet large sums once the leagues resumed, but I think if stake.com doesnt resolve this issue, Ill carry on with my plans at another company. I reckon there are just a few lads on live support and theyre the ones replying. Live support hasnt even bothered to reply to me since yesterday.

Since my balance was different, it means the bet went in. I only blamed my internet connection back then because it was really slow. So, I refreshed the page and saw my bet was active.
Once you press the "Place Bet" button, you will always have to check if it went in. It's your money, you always have to protect it.

If that happened opening a case with their support people can help you get your balance back. It is very strange for a bet to be processed after a user has logged out of the platform as this logging out clearly stops all activity on the platform for this user so no balance should have been touched. It is long ago that I don't play at Stake as they refuse to reinstate my account after I asked for indefinite ban and it is two years since then but most probably not only Stake, also other casinos should give back to user balance if the user is saying the truth.

Mine was not in stake but I have experienced a similar scenereo. Mine was when I wanted to play after setting the about on the game, I clicked play and immediately I got error and the amount I place for the game disappeared but my capital was intact but this your case is different which you said even the balance in your account disappeared. There is something wrong somewhere, contact them from all the channels to verify the issue.

In earlier days we could talk to dusan/darko in chat and they would actually solve sports issues, myself got refunded 200-300$ on system issues , but now support is just copy paste human bots
My suggestion is to try to get this some traction on X and tagging eddie. He is a busy busy man but maybe he does something

While I don't know much about the error I will say that you were going to place said bet right? I have never just automatically closed a website if a bet didn't work, I usually try to place the bet again or refresh and retry, then go to support and ask what the issue is. You did none of that which sounds very odd. On top of that, you logged in directly after the match concluded? Sounds odd to say the least. Feels like a case of you thought you had a free bet and could complain regardless of the outcome. If the bet lost you do this, if the bet won and you weren't paid you complain they accepted the bet.
