Hey everyone.

Let's be real, the era of naive emails from supposedly wealthy heirs is dead and gone, replaced by a total nightmare. Today, scammers clone exchanges, wallets, and marketplaces so perfectly that even antiviruses can't tell the difference. Phishing, deepfakes, interface spoofing — the industry works like a Swiss watch.

That's why I want to share a project we've been working on — SCAMNOT.ME

And no, it's not another "magic button" that spits out a legal dox file on the owner of a shady domain. Let's clear things up right away so there are no false expectations: we don't do independent security audits, and we don't track people down by their IPs. We simply don't have the authority to do that.

What do we actually do? We gather information. But our real secret weapon is you, the internet users.

We built this around the wisdom of the crowd. The problem right now isn't that victims stay quiet — there are millions of complaints online. The problem is that they are completely fragmented. Someone posts on a random forum, someone else rants on social media, a third guy just curses at customer support. Scammers don't care because this info drowns in the noise when you search for it. SCAMNOT.ME takes these scattered pieces and turns them into a clear signal. Your short note today will save someone's savings tomorrow.

We've deliberately stepped away from fear-mongering — there's already way too much negativity out there. Our job is to gather data and real user reviews, give you the cold hard facts, and point out the red flags. The decision is yours.

No premium subscriptions — the tool is completely free for everyone. Come check it out, throw suspicious links into the database and drop your reviews. Let's make life a bit harder for scammers.

It's always nice to see another platform that tries to protect newcomers in this field, but how are you planning to attract active users while also bringing this to the attention of your target audience?
- I've seen similar platforms that relied on users dying within a few months (even those offering incentives to active users), but I really hope this one has a better outcome.

Thank you for your kind words. Building awareness of the site is a challenging task for us, as we are not professional PR specialists. As time and opportunity permit, we will open threads on various forums to help more people learn about the site.

I entered the forum's domain name and was surprised to get "Nothing found." I expected the service to search and analyze the domain data and provide a result, not just check if the domain exists in the database.

The idea is good, but it needs a lot of development, especially in how the database is updated.

If you see the message "Nothing found" it means that the database does not contain any reports about the domain you are checking. At present, the database contains only a small number of domains.

Our goal is to compile a list of resources that have been observed engaging in malicious or harmful activity. We do not assess domains based on their age or subject matter, because a new domain does not necessarily mean it is a scam.

The domain database is compiled manually, regardless of a website's age, subject matter or reputation. We deliberately avoid using public scam-site databases because it is not always clear why a particular domain was added. Relying solely on VT is also a bad idea, since many scam projects have domains with no negative detections.

Hello, welcome to the forum, and this is a good initiative. I just hope it grows into something big like those MetaMask phishing databases.
My questions are;
1. I looked at the stats, and I saw a figure of total funds that have been stolen. How do you come up with those figures? Do you scam the scammer's crypto addresses?
2. How will you combat fake reports?
I know so malicious actors may report genuine websites are scams. So how will you be able to prove whether the report is genuine or not?
Thank you for your kind words and for showing interest in our website.

1. Many users attach transaction hashes, their own wallet addresses or the addresses where their funds were stolen or frozen to their complaints — all of this data can be independently verified on the blockchain. However, in some cases we may include an amount not confirmed by the blockchain, provided it is not a large sum, the user stated the amount of damage but did not provide a wallet address or transaction ID, and no one has disputed the validity of their complaint (for example on a forum). In any case, such figures are relative: they do not guarantee accuracy and only reflect the approximate scale of the losses.

2. That is exactly why we added the "Source" section — so that everyone can review the materials themselves and draw their own conclusions. We do not publish reports like "example.com is a scam", users are required to attach evidence of the website's malicious activity or a link to a source. If we do make a mistake and publish a false report, the situation can always be resolved in the comments, we will remove such a report or add a tag indicating that the website is safe and the report is false.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.

So now to the basics.
I don't know if it's just me, but the website's background doesn't look appealing to the eye. Combined with the text, it seems a bit dull for me, and then those videos with no thumbnails. A new user can actually think there is no video to watch there. Maybe you will make improvements with time.

What other users say: Perhaps add a bit of animation whenever a user hovers the cursor over one of the tabs so they know they can actually click on it and they are redirected to the reply in the investigation thread.

I'm not going to argue with you about the website background—that's a matter of personal taste. However, I don't rule out the possibility that the overall design could use some further refinement.

As for the video and its thumbnail, the video on the homepage does have a thumbnail and when you hover your mouse over the red YouTube button, the cursor changes. If you're referring to the text "your video here" that is the thumbnail. The reason it looks this way is that it is an advertising block, and we want users to understand that they can place their own video there.

However, we can also feature a video free of charge if it provides value to our users (https://scamnot.me/en/spn/video/

Hello, everyone!

We have made several changes to the domain-checking page.
I entered the forum's domain name and was surprised to get "Nothing found." I expected the service to search and analyze the domain data and provide a result, not just check if the domain exists in the database.
As @hugeblack previously mentioned, when a domain was not found in our database, users saw the message "Nothing found". This was expected because we are still building our own database. At the moment, it is relatively small, and expanding it without your help is difficult.

Now, even if our database does not contain any reports about a domain, users will still receive basic information about it, including Whois details and information about whether the domain appears on third-party blacklists.

For cryptocurrency wallets, we also check OFAC and other third-party databases.

P.S. If you know of any open databases for cryptocurrency wallets, we would appreciate it if you shared the information with us.
