At the start of the season like we are about to have in few days, it’s usually a time for elite teams to set the pace at how they would like to run the rest of the season. You wouldn’t find it with much difficulty that the elite teams would take the frontlines on the league table and lead for a good number of game weeks before fatigue starts to set in. Yes. Props to Crystal Palace on the winner especially their new coach. Let's not forget that Palace held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw in the last Liverpool game of the 2024/2025 season before going on to win City in the FA cup final.

Liverpool should've closed that game in 90 minutes. I expected Liverpool to win convincingly with a scoreline of 0-4 or close to it but I was wrong.

Finally finally Crystal palace was able to secured the Community shield title. What a beautiful season for Crystal palace, it was indeed a dream come true for Crystal palace because in the beginning of game I was like can Crystal palace afford to make it in this game due to Liverpool massive performance, but Crystal palace was able to level the scores and won them in the penalties.

However, with what Crystal palace played against Liverpool yesterday I'm pretty sure that they would definitely going to be a very big team in the premier league this season.

Yes , it really is because Palace has been working so hardly this year to win FA and Community and to be honest , both games were a deserved win for Palace.

Liverpool seems in a decline ? or am I speaking to fast for this ? because they made transfers around 300 mil $ and yet they looked nothing like Liverpool from previous years. Hopefully it was just this game and when EPL resumes this month , they will be in great shape because if they don't , some big teams will speculate this form of Liverpool and will try to win against them for sure.

Massive respect for Palace indeed and I hope they will also put up a great fight in EPL to achieve top 7 this year or even better but overall, Chelsea looks like the best team in EPL by far at this moment.

Of course Crystal palace deserve a massive respect because what they did in this community shield shows that they are able and capable to withstand any teams in the premier league this season. However, just like as you mentioned that is the real truth about it because with what I saw in this Liverpool game I think Chelsea stand in a better place than any other teams in the premier league this season.

Tomorrow is the big day as it would mark the opening of the 2025/2026 EPL season. For one, I'm glad that there won't be boring weekends anymore for the foreseeable future.

Among all the Sunday matches, Chelsea vs Crystal palace is the only game am seeing as a very though one. Because considering what Crystal palace played against Liverpool in the community shield they might likely hold Chelsea full time draw in this game. Although this Man united against Arsenal seems quite though too, but am quite confuse about the particular one that would going to win. I didn't see the game but I had a bet on it (over 1.5 totals) and the bet was on the brick of losing if not for that late equaliser by Fulham. I was very glad and relieved when that goal was scored. That's the kind of drama and twist we want from the opening weekend of the EPL. It's the same way I watched Bournemouth do a 2-0 to 2-2 comeback against Liverpool before Chiesa and Salah clutched the game few minutes to stoppage time.
