About 6 months ago I created https://orangefren.com/
Also available at http://rnwis2whetqcj4oknksnc5l24jbh33nflunifff3xtjjonnoxu3ld6id.onion/

OrangeFren.com lets you quickly compare the rates among instant, KYC-free, exchanges trading Bitcoin (including on Lightining), Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, USDC and USDT.

The comparison takes into account the amount you're willing to trade and (by default) your region.

At this point the site queries about a half a dozen exchanges, none of which require a sign up.

For trades from Bitcoin into Monero the site also shows atomic swaps when their rate is better than that of instant exchanges.

We also partnered up with some of our best exchanges to offer the OrangeFren Guarantee - a security deposit provided to us by the exchanges to compensate our users in cases of disputes with the exchanges.

The specifics vary depending on the exchange, but the most common points include compensation to the user if an exchange runs off with their money, doesn't respond to their messages, lies about the previewed exchange rate or when the user is asked to answer KYC or SoF questions and passes the verification.

You can also use our service through our Telegram bot: https://orangefren.com/bot/telegram It has the same functionality as OrangeFren.com with the added ability to request price alerts delivered through a DM straight to your inbox.

If you'd like to follow our project we're most active on Reddit as u/OrangeFren.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback!

Some of our users have been interested in Paraguay, either to move their tax residency there, move there physically, or to invest in real estate there. Often this was done, because of the 0 income and capital gains taxes and Paraguay being outside of CRS.
I was doing research for some time about moving to other countries outside Europe or North America,
and Paraguay sounds interesting, but I recently heard they are probably ending residency program this year.
I am not 100% sure this is true, but their government certainly made significant changes this year, especially for permanent residency.

Mr. Paul Sztorc announced that he will be launching a Bitcoin hard fork in 4 months. This new chain will be called eCash. Crucially it will launch without replay protection! Here's what this means if you're not careful
This will tank down faster than all previous forks, but at least he is not calling this BitcoinXXX and pretending this is the real BTC
Call me crazy but I think this is not going to be the last bitcoin fork in our lifetime, and next one could be related more with quantum resistance.

Agreed
The timing isn't great either. It would do much better if the mempool was clogged.

This is very bad advice: never touch any Forkcoin software before moving your Bitcoin to safety! You shouldn't even install it on your normal system: just don't trust it!
That's a good point though there's no other way to dump that shitcoin

A safe way to move Forks, after moving your Bitcoin, is by running the software inside a VPN or on a spare laptop (through VPN). There was a time when I had a dedicated system for those, that I could easily wipe and overwrite after each Fork.

Automated checks suggest these services may be affiliated with each other: ETZ-Swap, Exolix, NeverKYC, PegasusSwap, Swapuz
I knew about some of these, but not that they are all related to each other.
I suppose it would be very useful if you left a link to the source of the information that points to this conclusion.
Did you perhaps directly ask one of the mentioned partners to testify about this claim?

We asked. They, of course, denied. I wish I could share our methodology, but it would make it harder to spot future copycats.

Mempool being empty all the time is concerning to me, that is another indication that more bitcoin is getting centralized and moved to Blacrock and similar companies for manipulation.

RIP lightning network.

RIP lightning network.
I haven't used LN in years. When fees are high, opening a channel is too expensive. And when fees are low, there's no point in going off-chain. But what really annoyed me back in the days were the unpredictable transaction fees for closing channels.

I think lightning network project is like a dead man artificially kept alive by machines.
Now they started releaseing a bunch of stupid tokens on LN, and same people criticized others for messing around with shitcoins.
Top Level Hypocrisy.

Do you have a list of guarantee amounts somewhere where it can be seen up to which amount it is possible to request a refund through the OF guarantee? It used to be indicated at every exchanger, but I don't see it anymore.

Also, is this online, or am I doing something wrong?

It appears the AML score provider for at least one of the exchanges we list on OrangeFren.com considers ALL outputs from Litecoin's MWEB to be criminal.
What exchange is doing that?
This is the first time I am hearing anyone doing this, and mweb transactions are not even that private like people may think.

In the meantime, please be extra cautious in using Litecoin that has MWEB in its past.
Don't tell me they are checking the history of litecoin transactions and looking for mweb flags?

They still have a review score of 10 and no red (even orange) flags.

We intervened, talked to FF and their supplier. The user's LTC was refunded and no KYC was required
If it's not a secret, do you take some kind of compensation for this kind of mediation? It would be logical if yes, it is still a kind of responsibility.

Trouble with review scores is users need to leave a bad review later and sometimes they're too stressed to do that :/

It's free. We can afford a week of work for our users when the need calls for it. That said the user decided to later donate 1 LTC to us which was sweet

Our warning for FF is getting increasingly verbose

OK, now I noticed this "partially" (39%) protected. Also, next to the FF name, there is a guarantee worth $23k.
What does both 39% mean?
No matter what the amount is, you will ultimately only get a refund of 39%, even if the full amount in case is significantly less than this $23k guaranteed?
