Be Cautious: OctoSwap Scam Warning

Scam Reports Other Active 20 views View on BitcoinTalk

Please note: On Jun 18, 2026, I posted a warning to the community about OctoSwap. I considered it a high-risk service because of major red flags, including a very high minimum order requirement and signs that the service didnÂt work properly.

Today, I found an additional scam report from a user who says they were scammed by OctoSwap and have had no funds for weeks, with the status still showing ÂprocessingÂ and support via Telegram/email unresponsive. The user also mentions no ETA or resolution.

UserÂs statement:

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If they have been holding a user's funds for weeks then without even any updates then I don't see why they should be trusted at all. Looks like they think the $30K is their price range to perform an exit scam.

Thank you for brining this to my attention TrÃªvoid. I'm only replying now as it's the weekend, but I immediately removed OctoSwap from OrangeFren.com. I also confronted them, but they claim no such swap ever took place.

It would be good if the user who left that review could provide some evidence that they actually sent the coins to OctoSwap.

Thanks for that warning, I usually test swaps recently but I'll never test something that has that much required minimum order.

And it's possible that they're just going to change the name, start again and will do the same tactic just to get some new victims and fresh head start. But eventually, they'll still be known to be a scam swap when someone like you and the others have seen the signs of having red flags.

They can change and recreate it again, but I wonÂt let this go. IÂll keep monitoring them so they donÂt scam more people. I have my own tracking list of exchanges and I run daily checks and tests. Some exchanges also wonÂt post threads on bitcointalk because theyÂre afraid of me, and theyÂre linked to previous scams. Even when theyÂre not active here, IÂm still monitoring them.

Based on what was submitted, the order says "Time: Processing..." and that "Your order has expired!". There is no address in which we can see that funds were sent anywhere. We are saying it's a valid order creation and that what we see matches what the review says. But without knowing the address the user sent to and without OctoSwap responding, we are believing the report to be credible. Either party can respond and provide more information.

I never used Octoswap myself and I am not defending them in any way, but I haven't seen any evidence from the guy who accused them.
If someone actually lost $30k they need to provide more information and clarify this case a bit more.
Meanwhile, it's a good idea to remove Octoswap from listing, or add some warning sign.

I have invited that person to come here and post evidence, but until they do, users should stay alert and exercise caution. Also, please remember the minimum amount to swap is 0.11 BTC if anyone wants to try.

How often is it the case that when someone accuses an exchange of being a scam that it's false? We are always going to take the side of the user and marked them a scam. 

Of course there could be more information which proves they didn't do anything wrong and it's just an expired invoice, but why put people at risk? They aren't responding, that's enough evidence to avoid them.
